Boards of Noosa
Boards of Noosa by Adam Harriden- Boards of Noosa was shot during the Noosa Surf Festival this year, the main event sees some of the world's best surfers invited to participate in what's called the trim fest, this sees boards from 10-12ft up used as they were back in the day. Adam literally had five minutes to get the shot before they entered the water, the issue or challenge with his technique is you get one attempt to take the picture, secondly, why this was so unique was, he was shooting directly into the morning sunlight, Polaroid cameras from the late 60s have no modern adjustments to adapt to direct light so the normal outcome is a solid black image due to overexposure. This is one of those one in a hundred shots that actually worked out and even more so had incredible details from the age of the film and the staining on the paper. There have been no computer adjustments to this image. There is no original anymore as the original image fades to nothing over a two to three-day period. These editions are considered the originals.
