Golden KEEL
Mixed Media on Canvas-Polaroid Transfer, Acrylic & Gold Leaf
By Adam Harriden
A fleeting moment immortalised, Golden KEEL captures two surfers suspended in time, emerging ghost-like from the sea. Originally shot on a Polaroid Land Camera, the image was transferred to canvas and brought to life through layers of acrylic and hand-applied gold leaf. The result is a haunting, luminescent depiction of youth, culture, and the eternal rhythm of the ocean. The figures dissolve into their surroundings like memory itself, fleeting, soft-edged, yet powerfully present. Harriden’s use of gold evokes not only light and reverance, but also the treasured impermanence of the moment.
