Scallop Incense Holder
Cast from a real Tasmanian shell, our Brass Scallop has been designed as both functional incense holder and sculptural weight.
The shell's interior has been hand-polished to a high shine and finished with an opening to delicately hold your incense stick. The shell has been selected for both its beauty and function, as its fluted shell will catch ash that may fall within its embrace.
When turned, our the piece showcases the natural formations of the shell to create a sculptural weight inspired by antiquity - ideal to hold splayed papers and open books.
Material: Brass
Dimensions: 10cm W x 3cm H. 3mm opening
Weight: 155g
Your Brass Scallop comes delicately wrapped in a fabric pouch, perfect for gifting.
Being handmade, variations in finish only add beauty to each piece and show their dissimilarity to the mass produced. Markings have been intentionally left on the piece to mimic the natural formation of an oyster shell.
Our Brass Scallop has been designed to be used alongside our range of Luxury Japanese Incense.
Care
- Crafted by artisans, the Brass Scallop has been left untreated, allowing the piece to patina naturally.
- To reduce tarnishing, use a soft cloth to wipe the surface free of moisture, oils and particles after use.
- To restore a 'like-new' finish, polish with a metal polishing cloth or solution, then buff clean.
- Brass is a soft metal which can mark if treated poorly.
